Positioned at the northern entrance on the corner of Hwy. 11 and Hwy. 317, Lake Life Powersports is set to become the area’s first BRP dealership, catering to the high demand for powersports and marine equipment in this vibrant community.
Childhood friends and co-owners Craig Becker and Glen Hart embarked on this entrepreneurial journey in 2021, driven by their own experiences and a shared passion for the great outdoors. With roots in Lac du Bonnet that span over three decades, the duo identified a crucial need for an all-in-one powersports and marine dealership in the area.
Construction is already underway for the first building, a 16,000-square-foot space dedicated to all-terrain vehicles, side-by-sides, and snowmobiles. Scheduled to open its doors in February 2024, this facility aims to fill a service gap in the region, ensuring that enthusiasts no longer need to haul their machines back to the city for repairs.
The second structure, a 21,000-square-foot facility focusing on marine supplies, is slated to open in 2025. Boasting offerings from the popular Mercury brand, it will include pontoon and fishing boats, engines, marine repair services, as well as parts and accessories, providing a comprehensive selection for marine enthusiasts in the area.
Lac du Bonnet, often referred to as a four-seasons playground, has long awaited a dealership of this caliber. With BRP being the global leader in powersports manufacturing and having an 89 percent market share in personal watercraft and over 70 percent in the snowmobile sector, Lake Life Powersports is set to meet the demands of the community.
